This year's Thanksgiving tree! I took a picture of a branch with some of my favorite kid leaves. We are thankful for "gravity," "lunch pails," "stairs," and "liquid."
Then down came the Thanksgiving tree, and up with the Christmas tree! My mom always had a tree that us kids would decorate, and I remember how much fun it was. (She also had one in the formal front room that was just for her to decorate fancy). So, I always let our kids decorate our tree. It may not be the fanciest or prettiest, but they love to help "put up" Christmas, and I love the memories they're making. Just like when I was a kid :).
