We love cousins!

The last time Amber's family came, they didn't bring the boys, and my kids were definitely disappointed. Luckily, this trip they all came, and invited us to go swimming with them at their hotel. The kids loved it.

The next day they were able to stop by for a bit. Jake and Cooper, who have become good friends, played xbox for a while -- among other things. Jake is continually asking for Cooper to come over, and is super sad they live too far away for play dates. We tell him Cooper is his cousin, and he says "No, Cooper is my best friend!" Cousins make the best friends.
 The older cousins playing Foosball.
Lucas getting stuck in his favorite spot. He always manages to squeeze in there, stand up, and start bonking his head on the bottom of the table... You'd think he'd stop, but he continues, and holds onto the wooden rail for dear life when I try to pull him out...

Insane Inflatable 5K

Although I don't have many pictures of the event (hopefully will get some from Aaron who had a go-pro), it was super fun! I went with my sister Angela, her family, and some of her friends. Our team was Rapid Thigh Movement. It was a bunch of bouncy house obstacles/slides with a lot of running in between (that some of us may or may not have skipped a bit of... while also doing some of the obstacles two or three times...) It felt like being a kid again, and I loved it :).

While you were in Chicago...

Brad went to a work conference in Chicago for a week; I don't know how much actual "work" was involved, as he came back talking about being champion at the Foosball table, and being invited to a rooftop party. We send pictures back and forth of our activities so the kids can see where he is, and he gets to see his beautiful children.

Kids first water gun fight of the season in the backyard.

Kids pretending to be dogs stuck behind the gate...

And Lucas's first swing ride. He loved it :)
One of these days, I'll get a hold of his phone to add all his Chicago adventures.

My Little Band

With three kids, it's rarely quite. Especially when they pull out the bucket of instruments. They were going for a good 20 minutes before I strategically convinced them something else would be more fun. It was probably more like 10 minutes, but felt like 20...

The Good Outdoors

Lucas is always so happy when we play outside -- I just had to grab some quick pictures.

Spring Soccer

Jake's first soccer season had a rough start, but he kept getting more comfortable and  better with each game. His were really fun to watch, because the kids were all so little, with very little idea of what was going on. He went from crying in the first game, and not wanting to play, to wanting to stay in the whole game and running around playing and enjoying kicking the ball. He even broke into his happy dance/skip when he got side tracked, instead of kicking the ball as it passes by. He did get a goal on his last game, but getting treats at the end was his favorite part.

I wasn't so happy with this organization when it came to Emma's team. They stuck all the new kids (new move-ins, and kids who'd never played before) onto one team. Only Emma and one other girl had played before. They totally set them up for being the losing team, and it was very frustrating -- and sad to watch. They ended up only winning one game -- their last game. That being said, Emma did an awesome job, and is continuing to get better. She had some great blocks when she was goalie, and got pretty close to making some goals. She's a great little defender, and super fast!
