June 2019

More soccer! Emma and Jake have been doing it so long, I guess I just enjoyed their games and didn't take pictures. It's a little newer with Lucas, and his personality is so fun to watch out there (unless he's been knocked down...) He loves to kick the ball, give high-fives and fist-bumps to the goal makers, and it melted my heart when a little girl fell over, and he stopped kicking the ball and bent down where she was to ask if she was ok! Such a sweetheart!
Anyone who's seen Big Hero 6 will love this fist bump after he scored a goal!
Lucas is the first small one on the left.
Emma's team struggled a bit, but still had some fun. Her kicks are starting to get a bit stronger, and she's got some hustle in her! On the last game, not enough players showed up, so Jake got on all his soccer stuff and helped them out. He's in a more competitive league that actually has practices, and he got out there scored a goal, and worked well with Emma and the others even though he was nervous about being 3 years younger. It was awesome to watch him move the ball around all those older kids!

Emma and I took a break from all these boys and went to watch the new Aladdin. The original will always be my favorite, but the new one was still pretty good and fun to watch. Then we watched the fountain show at the village for a little bit.

Most of our summer has been spent at Roaring Springs, with few pictures to show it because my phone's not going near the water... The line for a slide happened to be super short as we were leaving, so Emma did a quick run so now I've got a slide picture! Emma's been my slide buddy, and we sneak off for an hour before the close (when it's the slowest) and just go on all the slides we can! Jake is starting to venture out and try some of the bigger slides, so he's starting to join our slide nights. I love that they're getting older and more fun to do these things with!
Lizzy got a sore or wasp bite or something? on her paw and wouldn't stop licking it. She was not so thrilled with my makeshift protective barrier, and Lucas thought it was funny that she was running around in his sock. Lucas -- always giving us little medical frights -- kept clearing his throat more than normal for about a week, and then started doing this weird twitch (and all the time, not only with eating). So I took him in, and they were thinking epiglottitis and almost sent us to the ER, but luckily we did an xray and things looked normal. So, we were sent home to be on the lookout, went to our regular Dr who thinks it may just be a childhood tick that he should outgrow. Luckily it started fading out, and he only does it every once in a while... Thanks Luke.
Quick trip down to Twin Falls for Christopher's birthday party at Tubb's Berry Farms.
The kids loved petting and feeding goats and baby pigs, and running around the farm playing games.
Cow Train with the cousins!

Saying hello's to Angela's bird Jellybean. None of the kids wanted it on their shoulders for very long!

Dairy Day Parade in Meridian. Lots of people, moderate amount of candy, and three happy kids.

May 2019

May started with Jake losing his first front tooth! I may have surprised him by yanking it after a few weeks of him slowly working on it.
I found the perfect place for a broken mother's day flower, and Emma did another season of soccer.
Lucas loves any time he can pull out the umbrella and boots, and occasionally we bring the Hulk to the store with us.
The library pulled out their 3D printer for the kids lab, and they were able to watch it make a small house -- pretty cool machine.
Emma at her last band concert -- goofing off with her boy that's a friend... Here we go...
I made a sticker chart for Lucas to learn to read. We worked with Bob books, and he's turning into a good little reader! I was impressed at how quickly he picked it up, once he decided he wanted to. He filled up his chart and picked out Thanos at the store!

Lucas also did a season of soccer, and here's one of his goals!
Fish and Game did a free kid fish day at Kleiner Park pond. First fishing experience for the kids!
Jake caught the first (and second) fish -- he really enjoyed casting and fishing, and is ready to go again!
Emma enjoyed it until she caught the fish and we were trying to get the hook out of the fish's mouth. Our little living thing lover felt terrible for the fish (and the worm that was cut in half), and only wanted to cast the line out for Lucas to fish after that.
And here's Lucas with his fish! He liked reeling in the line -- always loving being outside with whatever is going on!
And Jacob with his third fish! Probably the only fish caught that could have offered a bite of dinner!
