March 2020

Kindergarten Orientation!!! Lucas was able to look around his new Mary McPherson school, take his first ride on a bus, and hug the Wild Cat mascot. He has not been looking forward to starting school, but this definitely got him a little excited!

This is about the time they say Coronavirus is starting to spread in the US, and to start avoiding large groups and such. Good thing the weather is turning to Spring so we can play outside! Some basketball, badminton, and soccer.

Pictured above -- Lucas adding a couple accessories so that "he's more handsome!"
With no where to go on the two week shutdown -- I opened up my 1,500 piece puzzle. The cat enjoyed the box...

The kids decided to each pull out their own puzzle!
Emma's quarantine haircut by me! No better time to learn something new!

More outside time! Lizzy received more walks this spring/summer than even she would like!
Lucas showing off some of his cool dance moves!
With all the indoor volleyball cancelled, some of us tried a few video challenges together. It's a LOT harder than it looks!

And I learned not to do the rolling one on hard wood floors... Ouch! I needed more padding on my hip bone!
More time for exercising and reading! Although I wish Lucas's favorite book was more geared towards the heroes than the villains!

Working out a face cover for work before we had a mask!
And this pretty much sums it up!

February 2020

12!!!! Another year and another cheesecake! With her birthday so close to Christmas, she opted for some cash until she decides what she would like. Slipped 100 Grand in the box. It's the thought that counts. She had her first experience with re-lighting candles -- the were a big hit.

She's looking so much older! I'm ready to freeze time now! She's still the sweetest, best daughter around. We still get nightly hugs and kisses, and she helps out so much with the boys! I'm loving having a babysitting age daughter!!! We moved her bedtime out a little further then the boys. It's been really fun having a little extra Emma time watching shows, movies, and talking with her.
Brad's taking up a new hobby of making light sabers. He's learning a lot about wires/connections and taught himself to solder! It's pretty impressive!
Emma celebrated her birthday at Wahooz with her two best friends Victoria and Chloe. We stayed there all day, and they had a blast!

Another trip to Jump Time with friends!
It works!!! On his first try, too! These things are awesome!
Birthday #2 of the month! It's the big 40. Anyone who knows Brad, knows he hates birthdays. So we kept it simple with some yummy food and some cool stuff. Brad got a 3D printer that we've been having fun with -- a baby Yoda was one of the first things printed, of course.
And I may have played a bit too much volleyball in one week! I love that I get to play multiple times a week, love the ladies I get to play with, and love that I still have the ability to save the ball from hitting the floor! Bruises, not so much. And this is even with knee pads.

January 2020

Whenever I open a can of tuna, I turn around and find these two impatiently waiting for the tuna water...
We took the kids to the Nampa Warhawk Museum. Lots of history and some fun exhibits.

They had a scavenger hunt for objects throughout the entire museum, and the kids all finished theirs to win a little prize at the end. Great idea to make it more fun for the little's and kept the older two paying more attention!

Emma enjoyed using some hair chalk that she got for Christmas -- pretty fun stuff!

Took Emma and Jacob to the new Jumanji movie that was pretty fun...Brad stayed home with Luke! (This would make for a great 'How's quarantine going?' picture. Just a couple months early!)
Some Jump Time fun!

Earlier in the month, Jacob woke up with a very swollen upper lip and jaw. His bottom teeth were growing in too big and fast and had scratched the roof of his mouth and ended up with an infection. Took antibiotics for the infection, and went back in to get two more teeth pulled to help the issue...
Colin got all the computer pieces he wanted and brought them up so Brad could help him build it!
