Kathryn Albertson Park

A much needed adventure out of the house in fresh air! We took a nature walk around Albertson Park.

Spotted a blue heron!

Striking some silly poses...

A momma goose with all her goslings.
Another successful outing with this crazy crew!

April 2020

A mean April Fool's joke I played on my friend as they were shutting down all the school's. She fell for it hard, and it was hilarious! She didn't think so...

With the school's out we did a lot of art projects. These two were our spring flowers and bees, and blowing colored bubbles onto paper.

Jake's corona-ninth-birthday! It was pretty hard to have a birthday with the shutdown, but we promised we'd celebrate when things cleared up. We ordered in his favorite, Texas Roadhouse, and had a fun day celebrating him and playing with new toys!

He's always such a good sport with joke gifts :).

We were playing pictionary, and Lucas drew this number.... He told me it was a swimsuit...LOL!
Easter! The kids had the traditional Easter bunny candy-filled egg hunt throughout the house that morning, followed by the real egg hunt in the back yard! They added at least 3 rounds of hunting afterwards, so I had plenty of cracked eggs to choose from for deviled eggs!

The library had online videos from the classes Lucas used to attend, so Lucas was still able to interact with them and do some activities.
Another art project of painting rocks for our garden we were about to plant.
And the older two started remote school after spring break. Here's one of Jake's assignments on how to save our Earth. I'm thinking we might need more than recycling this time!

March 2020

Kindergarten Orientation!!! Lucas was able to look around his new Mary McPherson school, take his first ride on a bus, and hug the Wild Cat mascot. He has not been looking forward to starting school, but this definitely got him a little excited!

This is about the time they say Coronavirus is starting to spread in the US, and to start avoiding large groups and such. Good thing the weather is turning to Spring so we can play outside! Some basketball, badminton, and soccer.

Pictured above -- Lucas adding a couple accessories so that "he's more handsome!"
With no where to go on the two week shutdown -- I opened up my 1,500 piece puzzle. The cat enjoyed the box...

The kids decided to each pull out their own puzzle!
Emma's quarantine haircut by me! No better time to learn something new!

More outside time! Lizzy received more walks this spring/summer than even she would like!
Lucas showing off some of his cool dance moves!
With all the indoor volleyball cancelled, some of us tried a few video challenges together. It's a LOT harder than it looks!

And I learned not to do the rolling one on hard wood floors... Ouch! I needed more padding on my hip bone!
More time for exercising and reading! Although I wish Lucas's favorite book was more geared towards the heroes than the villains!

Working out a face cover for work before we had a mask!
And this pretty much sums it up!
