Jake's 7!

Well, it took a whole year of Jake asking how much longer until his birthday, and it finally came! This newly-turned seven year old has good tastes, and took us to Texas Roadhouse. He was not so sure of the loud waiters singing to him, but thoroughly enjoyed his ice-cream!
Jake only asked for a stuffed blue snake for his birthday. We ended up getting him some punching gloves and a tablet.. along with the blue snake. He was a happy boy :)
The many faces of Jacob Wight!
Jake chose to take his three best friends to Bodies In Motion. They were constantly running, sliding, climbing, and were a sweaty mess when it was time to go home.

Jacob, Aviyaan, Ruben, Christopher
Jacob can be pretty ornery sometimes, and I admit I struggle with it, but other times he just melts my heart. He is truly a very sweet boy, fun to play with, rambunctious, has contagious laughter, a good friend, and we sure love him. I walked into the kitchen and found a note he left. It says "I love you friends, family, Grandma and Grandpa for the birthday money and the kindness. I love you. Love Jacob"

Easter Festivities

We went to the park, and another church just happened to be setting up for their Easter hunt. When that Easter bunny showed up, Lucas ran right up for a big 'ol hug... three times.
Dying eggs!

 Showing their favorite eggs.
When Easter and April fools fall on the same day, the Easter bunny HAD to have just a little bit of fun. Baskets too high to reach, and "Jelly-beans".
Our traditional candy egg hunt that the Easter bunny leaves out for the morning. The kids scouted out where they all were before waking us up, so it went REALLY fast.

  The spoils!

And two, or three, or five hunts with our real eggs followed by grabbing the most cracked ones to make into deviled eggs for dinner!
 And the sugar crash hits!

Little Bunny Foo Food

Love watching and listening how much she improves with each recital!
A spring break trip to Twin where my parents got their mission call to Portugal! What an adventure they'll have!
Angela played a tune for us on this instrument that sounded just like bag-pipes. She's got some serious lung power!
Emma helped coral a bunny so Aaron could catch it -- discovering later that it was to be their Easter bunny dinner. Emma and I had a nice little chat about the circle of life -- and she seemed to be okay with that. Lucas had fun trying to catch his own bunny.

I managed to catch that one for the kids to pet.
Some popcorn movie nights and jumptime with the cousins made for a fun couple days!

Utah Excursion

Another trip to the Curiosity Museum in Utah. They put in some new Teeter-totters, and the kids went on the zip line a few times.
The pet vet room tends to be one of Emma's favorite places to play -- she loves animals!

Jacob playing around with the movie green screen, and Emma putting on a puppet show.
Jacob and Lucas making a movie picture by picture. Okay, Lucas was just driving cars around, but Jake was trying to make a space film.
Lucas was obsessed with the washing machine, which was just baby clothes spinning around in there when he pushed the button, and tried on a few dress-ups.

Then off to the dinosaur museum!
We've been there so many times, that the kids just kind of go to their favorite places -- the water/sand erosion center...
and the discovering of bones in the sand/gravel area.

And a stop to Scheel's where Emma was a bit uneasy when they stopped us at the top of the Ferris Wheel for a short while.
And we of course couldn't pass up the Provo Rec center for a day of swimming and slides!
